Our Mission
We teach and preach the Bible’s view of life at Pastor events, church staff seminars, Sunday schools, or home groups. If you want a pulpit message about life, we have a special message that discusses many ways God relates to the unborn just like he relates to you and me. For example, did you know the Bible teaches the unborn can worship?
Except for a discussion about God's profound grace and forgiveness for repentant people for the sin of abortion, this message doesn’t talk about abortion but the word of God's teaching about the pre-born.

Rich and his wife, Yvette, came to faith in Christ in the early 1980s while in college. They have three grown children and are thge owners of a civil engineering firm since 1995. For over twenty years, Rich has been a bible teacher, an occasional preacher, and a public speaker. As a civic volunteer, Rich currently serves on his county’s Appraisal District Board and previously chaired the county Sheriff’s Department Civil Service Commission. In the past, Rich and Yvette served on the Board of Texas Right to Life and Rich served as Chairman of the Board. The DeOttes have supported both political and ministry pro-life efforts for decades.
Originally neutral on the subject of life, a series of events convinced Rich that the sacrifice of the unborn is the greatest, most important issue of our time in Texas, the United States, and the world. In October, 2018, Rich and Yvette successfully sued the federal government (DeOtte vs. Azar) and ended enforcement of the Obamacare contraception mandate throughout the United States. He has testified in front of various political bodies and legislative committees advocating for pre-born babies and the abolition of abortion.
Rich and Yvette formed Life Education and Action (LEA), which engages the church in the pro-life effort. Through LEA, Rich is a public speaker and trainer on behalf of the unborn, focusing on the biblical view of life from God’s perspective. The Gospel of Jesus has changed cultures many times in the last 2000 years. It wiped out polytheism in the west, subjected leaders to the idea that their power was limited and they weren’t God, encouraged honest trade, facilitated real reform of the church, eliminated slavery in many places, and saw governments form around the idea that all men are created by God as equals. That’s a lot.
In that vein, Rich and Yvette are working to inform the discussion with a fresh perspective from the Bible and the Gospel of Jesus to see a cultural consensus form around the world in favor of life.

The whole matter of life is defined by what we think about God. If we deny the most powerful tool at our disposal, the Word of God, the Church of Jesus will fail to understand the heart of God concerning the children that we would bear to him (See Ez. 16:20-21).
